I'm Morgan and I love to learn. I'm addicted to ideas, concepts and lenses through which to see the world. In the past few years, I have been on a journey to learn more about minimalism, simplicity and wholehearted living, and have worked to bring these concepts in to our day to day family life. I'm a teacher-librarian (I get to learn for a living!) and mother to two wonderful human beings. I'm married to my high school sweetheart and building our life together, not in a remote cabin in the woods, but in a typical house in the suburbs of a large city.

Motherhood awakened in me a desire for simplicity. I wanted to address my deep longing to find focus on only those things, ideas and experiences that added value to our life. I love the William Morris quote "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" and I've worked to apply it not only to our physical spaces, but our time, our parenting, and our finances. I've resisted sharing my story for so long because I was waiting to get it right, to offer some hard and fast rules for those seeking simplicity, but I have realized in the past few years that every day and every season is teaching me and though I know we have much more to learn, there is really no arriving at a perfectly simple and balanced life. The mindset is the destination  - the mindful moments amongst the chaos, the thoughtful decisions about time and money, the daily practice of gratitude.

I'm excited to share our journey here, and connect to people on the same path, seeking simplicity and a more meaningful, wholehearted life.
